ReadySet Surgical and Microsystems have announced the availability of integration capabilities between the two development environments to improve transparency in the surgical supply chain. The combined capabilities will streamline data reciprocity across both systems and provide a seamless platform for Hospital end-users.
The direct connection between Microsystems’ SPM® and the ReadySet Loaner Management Platform will ensure full transparency to resource requirements for a given healthcare facility’s Central Sterilization Department to meet the demands of the Surgery Schedule.
Instrument Tracking has become the standard of care within Hospitals around the country; traceability of hospital-owned inventory has dramatically improved safety and efficiency. Loaner Management has the potential to deliver similar improvements for Vendor-owned Inventory, which is used in over 10 million surgical procedures each year.
For hospitals that deal with high surgical volumes, moving from a disjointed manual process to a more streamlined electronic process facilitates greater focus on patient care and a measurable reduction I operational costs. The integration between SPM and ReadySet gives end-users complete awareness of surgical case needs and tools to drive efficiency in the surgical supply chain.
“We talked to a large cross-section of hospitals that are very happy with their Microsystems SPM platform; we pursued an interface with SPM very early because of their significant market share and customer loyalty. The combination of our respective data sets is a gamechanger for our mutual customers,” said Keerthi V. Kanubaddi, Founder and CEO of ReadySet Surgical, LLC.
“Microsystems has enjoyed consistent customer preference for its family of HL7 Bi-directional interfaces with Epic and other leading clinical systems. The ability to provide customers full visibility of Instrument Sets Required for Surgical Cases, whether owned, loaned or consigned fills a significant information gap over what the preference card system typically provides,” offers Clay Cannady, Vice President of Microsystems. “We are excited about what the ReadySet relationship means for our customers.”
